The Reasons for Gifts and Talents
Have you ever thought about the purpose of gifts and talents? Why should they be stirred up on the inside of you?
The basic definition of a gift is “a special ability or capacity; natural endowment; talent,” according to Dictionary.com.
In our humanity, we all have unique gifts and talents. The line draws down the middle when we look at how we use our gifts and talents. Some use them for God’s purposes and others don’t. For example, we see how people can use their writing abilities to help others as God would have them to. We also see how writers can use their writing abilities to mislead or misguide others, knowingly or not.
The point is that gifts and talents should be used to honor the Creator of them. It is very easy for all of us to lose sight of this in times of promotion, whether before or after the promotion.
It may not be popular today to write, sing, act, or live to honor God, but it is definitely worth it.

I’m Back!
After much contemplating about writing again, now I know that I have something to say.
And this post will be short.
I just wanted to say that things have been rough around the edges and I would like to begin again to bring valuable insight about gifts, talents, courage, and grace.
I never wanted to be like most bloggers who begin a blog and barely blog.
The decision to blog is just that – a decision.
I hope to influence you through this blog to move courageously and gracefully toward your purpose. I want you to actually maximize your gifts and talents.
Be blessed,
Shimeka Rigsby
